The objective of the event is to provide local young people in Hong Kong and young people from the mainland living in Hong Kong with an opportunity to visit a company that is growing in the STEM field, and to establish a connection between these two groups of people.
Background Presentation:
1. Introduction: Start with an introduction to the importance of the STEM field in today's world and its growing demand in various industries. Explain how STEM careers are shaping the future and the opportunities that come with them.
2. Overview of the Company: Provide an overview of the company that will be visited, highlighting its history, mission, vision, and core values. Discuss the company's contributions to the STEM field and how it is making a difference in the industry.
3. Company Culture: Emphasize the company's culture and its commitment to diversity and inclusion.
4. Career Opportunities: Discuss the various career opportunities available within the company, particularly in the STEM field. Provide examples of successful professionals who have advanced in their careers at the company and share their stories.
5. Benefits of STEM Careers: Emphasize the benefits of pursuing a career in the STEM field, including competitive salaries, and opportunities for growth and advancement.
6. Connecting Local Young People: Highlight the importance of connecting local young people in Hong Kong and young people from the mainland living in Hong Kong, particularly in the STEM field. Encourage them to exchange ideas, collaborate, and build relationships that can lead to future opportunities.
Activity background/Why do you want to participate in this activity?
1. The importance of STEM education STEM education is an acronym for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, and it has become an integral part of the contemporary education system. STEM education can improve students' creativity, problem-solving ability and practical ability, and lay the foundation for future career development. In addition, STEM education can also cultivate students' digital literacy and information literacy and other abilities.
2. The application of STEM education in the current society The demand for STEM talents in modern society is increasing, and STEM education has become an important part of the education system of various countries. Through STEM education, students can not only acquire professional skills, but also gain a deeper understanding of natural sciences and prepare for future careers
3. Purpose and significance of STEM learning activities STEM learning activities aim to stimulate students' interest and improve their practical ability and problem-solving ability through specific practice and inquiry. At the same time, these activities can also enhance students' teamwork ability and mutual communication ability.
In short, STEM learning activities are an indispensable part of the current education system, through which students can better master science, technology, engineering and mathematics knowledge in practice, so as to lay a solid foundation for future career development.
